Humber Valley Resort Golf Course

Humber Valley Resort’s River Course, is an 18-hole, par 72 championship golf course measuring 7,199 yards.
Humber Valley Resort is an all-season international resort which commenced operations in December of 2004 with the River Course opening in June 2006.

The course, which affords dramatic views over Humber Valley, including Deer Lake and the Humber River, was designed by distinguished Canadian golf course architect Doug Carrick, who is known for creating courses of great character and beauty.

Its layout, with gently rolling terrain, generous fairways and undulating greens, gives experienced golfers a welcome challenge yet also provides an enjoyable round for novices.
Several holes are played alongside the tranquil Humber River and the shores of Deer Lake and a number of natural ponds and streams meander through the course.

Breathtaking views can be enjoyed from most holes culminating in the 18th; where the backdrop rises to an elevation of 400 feet. This is the spectacular setting for the Eagle’s Perch Clubhouse, comprising of golf reception, changing facilities, pro shop & bar, which enjoys stunning views of the panoramic scenery.

Hiking

The scenery in Newfoundland, particularly on the West Coast and in the Humber Valley region is spectacular. The Long Range Mountains are an extension of the Appalachian Range in the mainland.

We have trails to suit all abilities; from a brief, lazy meander along the coast, to refreshing routes that get the blood pumping, and more challenging treks that you can explore for hours, days and even weeks.

Our Parks

The Gros Morne National Park contains one of the most extensive trails systems in the province. Tectonic plate movement over millions of years has yielded a landscape of varied rock formations and diverse vegetation that looks like another world.

You can wander over the earth’s mantle, see fjords unlike anything else this side of Norway, and encounter flora and fauna found nowhere else on earth.
