Winter sports are the ultimate attraction! Beginner? Advanced? With the best skiing in eastern Canada only minutes away. Humber Valley Resort is a place for everyone to take to the slopes. It also has direct access to over 1,200km (745 miles) of groomed snowmobile trails that stretch from ocean to mountainside.

The area boasts the kind of abundant natural snowfall every amateur and dedicated skier or snowboarder dreams of – Nearly 5m (16 feet) every year. This provides a deep snow base laid out on a spectacular terrain just waiting to be explored by the adventurous.

Our chalets are only minutes away from Marble Mountain Ski Resort, part of the Appalachian Mountain range that cuts a winding path through the majestic Humber Valley. The valley offers over 1200 km of groomed snowmobile trails that will take you through the environs that are home to numerous wildlife; such as Eagles, Moose and Caribou.

The west coast of Newfoundland is filled with world class opportunities for snow mobile excursions, skiing, snow shoeing and ice fishing.

This is Canada’s best kept secret, and its diverse environment of unspoiled nature touches each one of its visitors.

Skiing

Only ten minutes from Humber Valley Resort, Marble Mountain, with verticals of 519m (1,700 feet) provides what is often described as the best skiing east of the Canadian Rockies.

Snowboarding

There is no shortage of rails and trails at Marble Mountain, where all slopes are open to snowboarders. Marble Mountain has the largest terrain park and half-pipe in Atlantic Canada. Situated near Corner Brook, the Blow Me Down Ski Park has over 40km (25 miles) of groomed cross country trails for classic and skate skiing, from backcountry touring trails to Federation International Ski (FIS) World Cup-standard racing trails.
